Model depletion and secondary recovery
For the past three years, we’ve been closely working together with CMG Computer Modeling Group Ltd, the world's largest independent reservoir simulation vendor. You’ll have a direct connection to CMG’s IMEX™ implicit-explicit black-oil simulator that enables simulation engineers and geologists to work within one user interface. The team can model primary depletion and secondary recovery processes in conventional oil and gas reservoirs.
Better decisions quicker
New multi-threading and multicore functionality along with workflow automation enable JewelSuite end users to make better decisions more quickly. Multithreading enables JewelSuite customers to take advantage of latest Intel and AMD multi-core processor architecture(s).
Workflows for unconventionals
Adding micro-seismic visualization capabilities together with our ability to easily create different scenarios to test well productivity, based on horizontal well patterns and artificial fracturing design, further improves our workflow for development of unconventional reservoirs.
Other new and enhanced features of JewelSuite™ 2011 include the following:
- Structure Builder improvements: including salt dome triangulation and advanced editing tools to support requirements for geomechanical workflows.
- Enhanced well positioning: interactively update well plans and create sidetracks, while “model-well-intersection-plane” is updated.
- Well Log editing: interactively draw facies logs based on cut-off values of existing logs.
- Graphical Property Editor enhancements: easier and faster training image creation for input into our new Impala Multipoint Statistics algorithms’.
- Auxiliary data support: support documentation including notes, PDF, URL’s and Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents can be attached to the project for future reference.
- 3D Stereo visualization and support.
- Well Path animation – fly through models and down well paths to better understand drilling and development opportunities.
- Seismic Volume Rendering – clip seismic (attributes) volumes for use in seismic volume analysis techniques and workflows.
